Episcopal Migration Ministries’ staff is an integral part of The Episcopal Church denominational staff, which is based in New York City. The EMM team monitors and oversees the work of 11 affiliate partners in implementing our network’s major programs and initiatives.

The Foundational Programs Unit provides strategic leadership, quality assurance oversight, and technical support to local partners for multiple programs that serve refugees during their initial days after arrival in the U.S. through the process of finding employment and building a future in their new communities.

The Placement and Special Projects Unit coordinates with many local, federal and international organizations to manage the process of moving refugees safely and efficiently from camps and processing centers overseas to safe homes in U.S. communities that are prepared to welcome them. The unit also supports local partners in their service provision to clients through targeted awards from ORR and other funding sources.

The Engagement Unit engages with churches and dioceses to connect the Episcopal community to our ministry, while also supplying affiliate partners with tools and guidance needed to build support and welcome for refugees in their own communities.

Episcopal Migration Ministries works locally through a network of affiliate partners. Each of these partner agencies offers support services and opportunities for newly arrived refugees.
