How much do you know about Episcopal Migration Ministries? Are you familiar with its history or what it does in the world today? As global migration continues to expand, in response to wars, violence, political turmoil, and climate change, so must our understanding of and responses to human needs grow and deepen.

EMM is one of ten agencies that contract with the federal government to oversee refugee resettlement across the U.S. through a network of organizations and community partners. EMM is also a foundational ministry of The Episcopal Church, offering opportunities for individuals, congregations, and dioceses to take part in the life-giving work of welcoming our newest neighbors.

To help deepen awareness of EMM and the work that we do, we are launching a series of short videos, featuring members of the EMM headquarters staff. We want you to know who we are, what we do, and how you can join or support us in this vital work.

First up: Sarah Shipman, EMM’s director. Please take a moment to listen to Sarah as she shares some of EMM’s history and explains where and how we work today. With Sarah, we invite you to join us in welcoming those who have fled their homes in search of safety and hope for the future.
