American Immigration Council webinar: A New Life for Asylum: Hope and Challenges for Asylum Seekers Under the Biden Administration

The Trump administration has levelled increasingly drastic attacks on the U.S. asylum system, all but shutting down the southern border and making asylum extremely difficult to obtain. The incoming Biden administration has indicated that it is ready to reverse at least some of these changes, but the road ahead for asylum seekers will be challenging. Join experts from the American Bar Association, American Immigration Council, Immigration Justice Campaign, and Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network as we discuss what we know, and what we envision may happen, for asylum seekers at the southern border and in U.S. immigration prisons in 2021 — as well as ways to get involved and help. Dec 8, 2020 01:00 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada).
