On this World Refugee Day, June 20, the Interfaith Committee for Migrant Justice (ICMJ) invites you to watch the documentary, Seeking Asylum (Seeking Asylum), from 6:30 – 8:30 pm in the Zeitgeist Theater (222 E Superior St in Duluth). This documentary bears witness to the endless deterrents migrants face when petitioning for asylum in the United States.

Since 2020, members of the ICMJ community have sponsored & hosted over 20 asylum seekers. Currently there are 8 asylum seekers living with ICMJ host families in Duluth. Following the documentary, we invite you to join us for a panel discussion which will include some of our current hosts & asylum seekers. We hope that you will listen to their stories & learn what our Duluth community can do on a local level to help those who are going through the process of seeking asylum.
