Today, we continue a new series spotlighting the dedicated affiliate staff who tirelessly work behind the scenes to support our mission to welcome. Staff are nominated by colleagues who wish to recognize their hard work and dedication.
Kayla Davis has served as Program Manager at Bridge Refugee Services since May 2024, when the agency found itself without an executive director or program manager (two roles which had most recently been combined in one position). She has adeptly stepped into this role and taken it on with grace, patience, skill, and remarkable professionalism. Colleagues have watched her handle a record number of arrivals, juggling her supervisory role, and going above and beyond what anyone would have expected.
Kayla started working with Bridge in 2022, as a PC intensive case manager. Colleagues note that Kayla has always been a positive and creative influence within the organization. She began a sewing group to foster community ties among Bridge clients and help them grow in this skill. She wanted clients to be able to use sewing however they wished, either to increase their income-earning opportunities or simply to connect with others. It is obvious to her clients and colleagues that she cares deeply about her work and those she serves. For these reasons, Kayla Davis has been nominated as worthy of special recognition.
