Each day, individuals and families seeking asylum flee their home countries to escape violence, religious persecution, and war. In an effort to respond faithfully to the needs of our siblings-in-Christ, the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas established Immigration Ministries. With the help of its congregations, Immigration Ministries provides direct services to people seeking asylum throughout the diocese, such as housing, meals, clothing, transportation, and other essential items upon release from authorities. In addition, Immigration Ministries provides ongoing education and resources for congregations to welcome and embrace migrants in our communities. Immigration Ministries and its services are funded by congregants, congregations, and organizations like yours. Your financial support is needed to continue providing these crucial services for our resilient neighbors.
In addition, EMM and affiliates are expanding opportunities for community sponsorship, providing new and creative ways that individuals and congregations can walk alongside our newest neighbors by offering available housing, donating pro bono services, and much more. We need your financial support to create these new programs so that we can maximize local community resources and welcome.
